Bio

I was born in Bavaria/ Germany. While reading Karl May in Primary School, I discovered my passion to explore remote countries. I started photographing in 1993, and since then my travel have taken me around the world to around 1z0 countries. From the Sahara to the remote jungle areas in Irian Jaya and Borneo, from the glacierworlds of Patagonia to the savannahs of Mongolia. My picture collection offers more than 1,300,000 images of travel destinations, people, traditional lifestyles, ancient temples and archaeological sites, as well as in-depth coverage of wildlife in its natural habitat, nature close-ups, and scenic landscapes. I am specialised in taking photos of UNESCO world heritage sights and his collection covers now 500 of them being one the most extensive of its kind.
