As we continue progressing with the regional changes process, we are now approaching Latin American. The updates below are based on our Roadmap and the NomadMania Optimal Score methodology.
Latin American countries where ONE NEW region is being added:
- Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, Uruguay.

Bolivia
Changes apply to better reflect country’s complex geography grouping Oruro with Potosi within Altiplano South region while keeping culturally distinct Cochabamba, Chuquisaca and Tarija which is a new one.

Chile
Two former regions South and Aisén & Magallanes are split in three: South Central, Chilean Patagonia, Magallanes. The new region is South Central.

Colombia
Greater Bogota and round region is split from Andes Northeast.
Costa Rica
We made some changes reflecting the country’s geography and added a new region Pacific South (Quepos, Puerto Jiménez).

Guatemala
Changes in Guatemala reflect the country’s geography with Caribbean Coast becoming a new regions while some border adjustments between the Highlands and the Pacific Coast.

Peru
The new region is Ancash which is one of the most visited and diverse provinces of the country often visited from Lima. We also slightly modify central Andean regions to better reflect the local geography.
