Rationale: Based on its number of international tourist arrivals, and our new NM rules regarding islands and arrivals, this qualifies for an additional region.
This region will be split into the Big island and the other islands. The Big island of Hawaii is the United States’ second biggest island and of considerable size and interest. The ‘old’ region is now attributed to the ‘other islands’. So, if you’ve only been to Honolulu or Maui, you don’t need to do anything, but you will need to register the Big island as visited if you have travelled there.
